The National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS Accredited)
The National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS Accredited) is managed by Lloyd’s Register on behalf of the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s). It was introduced as part of the process of introducing competition into the electrical services market.
To gain accreditation Electricity Solutions were subject to rigorous competency assessments and are currently accredited to carry out the following works:
Installation
Cable Laying (LV, 11kV)
Civil Works
Jointing (LV Dead and 11kV)
Substation Installation (11kV)
We also have partial accreditation for the following:
Cable Laying (66kV)
Jointing (66kV)
Substation Installation (66kV)
Overhead Line Wooden Pole (LV, 11kV)
Electrical Design of Distribution Networks covering:
LV cable networks to Domestic, Industrial and Commercial Properties, HV cable networks 11kV, HV Overhead Networks up to 11kV, S/Station 11kV
We also have partial accreditation for Design in:
HV cable networks 66kV, S/Station 66kV
CHAS
CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK, with over 50,000 suppliers and 570 buyer members on it’s database. To maintain the accreditation Electricity Solutions are subject to an annual assessment.
The SMAS Worksafe Certificate
The SMAS Worksafe Certificate allows us to demonstrate our Health and Safety Competence. SMAS use the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 “core criteria” or the health and safety module in PAS91 as it’s threshold.
Achilles
Achilles has matured into one of the most thorough and rigorous accreditation schemes. Launched in 2007 it is designed to meet the increasingly demanding legislative and risk management needs of construction clients. Used by 17 buyer organisations and over 1,500 suppliers in the UK Construction sector Electricity Solutions are proud to have achieved the accreditation at their first attempt (something 25% of subcontractors fail to achieve).
